Trails for the most part are in good shape I cut a tree that was down about a mile into the trail we are having some issues with standing water in some low lyeing areas. Bear with us we are working on this problom we are using crush and run to fill in these areas but we are having probloms getting the crush and run into some of these areas. (note to self make the trail is wide enoufgh to get a four wheeler with a trailer in there you big dummy) hopefully we will get these probloms resolved by the siege on fort yargo race
may the 24th. We also are gonna put a small bridge in at the seceond small gully you come to after the switchback behind the dam that one is getting a litte to roufgh to ride through

We are currently working on the section befour the putt-putt course
(The Rootie Section) we are moving part of that trail and derooting the rest of it. For the next 3 weeks thier will be a trail crew their from the State Mon-Thur. 8:00am to 5:00 pm they are Mainley working on the walking trails but are planning on helping us out in a couple of spots on the mtb trails

Please be carful when going thru these constuction sections

As far as the mtb trails go their in pretty good shape. we have been riding all summer but its time to get back to working on the trails their will be severl projects going on this winter mainly trail
maintenance We will be de-rooting some sections. We plan on putting in pipes in a couple of bad ditch crossings.

Our next work party is Sept 30th at 8:00 am meet at main office

Well , we have had 2 major down pours this past week. the rain was so bad that it washed debree in the trail in several locations
and damaged the trail in a couple of spots hopefuly we will be blowing off the trails in the next few days and doing some repair work. Their is a couple of places where riders are locking up their brakes and causing an erosion issue I'm not sure yet what were gonna do about it yet but somthing has to be done to eithr slow people down befour these spots of reroute the trail where this is not an issue. I will be de-rooting several locations also.

As far as trail conditions go for the most part as of Sat. trails were in good shape except for the privit section (where the arched bridge is) this section takes about a week to dry out (its Flat)

Me and my wife rode labor day I told my wife if the trails were wet from prior nights rain we would ride the roads but suprisely the trail was pretty dry. kinda figured it was when I pulled up and their were 30 people standing in the parking lot.

we rode last night trails were OK started raining on us about halfway thru. it was muddy in a couple of spots that we need to work on but other than that they were OK. I talked to the park ranger this morning after he rode he said everything was pretty dry.

(yes its nice to have a fellow mountain biker as the park ranger)

taking out the bad ones , leaving the ones that are helping to control erosion trails are very fast right now a club member turned a 54 min lap last night  that's smoking I plan on blowing off the trails this week we are starting to get a lot of leaves and pine straw on the trails. I think we are gonna have a early fall.
